Project MALES will be hosting our second plática of Spring 2023 on Monday, February 20th from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. CDT via Zoom. We have the honor to be joined by Dr. Guillermo Ortega, who will be discussing the pathways of Latinx college athletes to the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Dr. Guillermo Ortega is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education at Idaho State University. His research examines Latinx college athletes, intercollege athletes, student outcomes, and organizational structures. Guillermo has authored and co-authored articles published in the Journal of Higher Education, Research in Higher Education, and Journal of Diversity in Higher Education, among others.
Pláticas are held monthly during the academic year and highlight faculty and community leaders whose work centers and/or impacts boys and young men of color through research and practice.
