Project MALES would like to welcome Dr. Rodrigo Aguayo and Dr. Jase Kugiya. Dr. Aguayo will serve as our associate director for Project MALES and Dr. Kugiya will serve as our assistant director for research.
Dr. Aguayo will focus on all three Project MALES local, state, and national initiatives in mentoring, research, and statewide consortium. He previously worked with UT Austin in the College of Natural Sciences and led our mentoring initiative.
Dr. Kugiya will work with our research initiative in West Texas and help lead efforts to increase our understanding of the experience of men at Texas community colleges and 4-year institutions. He previously worked as a graduate assistant for our research initiative.
Dr. Aguayo and Dr. Kugiya both join the team after recently earning their Ph.D. in the Program in Higher Education Leadership & Policy from The University of Texas at Austin.
